“It’s Jazz. It just doesn’t sound like it.” OZ NOZ has just released his sixth studio album “Twisted Blues Volume 2” to critical acclaim. Recognised by Guitar Player magazine’s annual readers’ poll as “Best New Talent” (2008), and “Best Out There Guitar Player” in 2013, we thought it was high time to talk with Oz about his new album, as well as his approach to music.

Interview with ROCKY ATHAS from Dallas, Texas. GuitarMania talked with Rocky about his new solo album "Let my Guitar do the Talking", his job as lead guitarist for the "Godfather of British Blues" JOHN MAYALL, as well as his influences and equipment. Born in 1954, Rocky has earned a reputation as one of Texas's best Blues guitarists. Rund 150 Besucher hatten sich an diesem Dienstag Abend im Wiener Porgy & Bess Club eingefunden, um den Klängen eines der besten österreichischen Jazz-Fusion Gitarristen und seiner Formation zu lauschen. Die Rede ist von GERALD GRADWOHL, der auch dieses mal wieder mit zwei US-Amerikanern, nämlich Kirk Covington am Schlagzeug, und Adam Nitti am Bass, sowie dem Österreicher Thomas Kugi am Saxofon eine herausragende Truppe um sich scharen konnte.
